Learning

Instruction

2009-10

Hampton High School Improvement Goals

 

Goal# 1 - All students will meet or exceed Tennessee benchmarks for percent proficient and

 above in math by 2010.

 

All students will  1) increase their levels of math proficiency;  2) improve their performance on all state mandated math assessments;  3) meet or exceed the 2009-10 state math benchmark

(83% proficiency or above); 4) meet or exceed the ACT College Readiness benchmark for math (22.0) or meet the post-secondary minimum ACT Math score (19) for college admission to a state-supported institution. 

 

Goal # 2 - All students will meet or exceed Tennessee benchmarks for percent proficient

  and above in language arts /reading by 2010.

 

Students will 1) improve their language arts /reading/ writing skills;  2) increase their performance levels on all mandated language arts assessments; 3) meet or exceed the state benchmark (93% proficiency or above) in language arts /reading; 4) meet or exceed the state writing benchmark (4.0);  5)meet or exceed the ACT College Readiness benchmark in English (18.0) and the post-secondary minimum ACT English score (19) for college admission to a state supported institution. 

 

Goal # 3 -  Hampton High School's graduation rate will meet the state's current benchmark (90%) by 2010 or will increase this rate by 0.6 % annually* to obtain AYP and remain in "Good Standing" .  (*0.6% annual improvement through 2014 is determined by state graduation formula for HHS). 

 

Goal # 4 - Hampton High School's attendance rate will meet the state's current benchmark (93%) or will show improvement annually.
